Erik Christensen had two goals and an assist in the Rangers' come-from-behind win against the Lightning. Two Lightning goals in a 1 1/2-minute span in the first period didn't shake New York, which scored four times in the second period. Sean Avery, Vinny Prospal and Chris Drury had the other Rangers goals. With the Olympic break here, the Rangers will carry a two-game winning streak for the next two weeks.

- Devils 4, Rangers 2: What's it like to go seven periods without a goal? The Devils hope they don't have the privilege of finding that out again. They scored four times -- thanks in large part to Travis Zajac's goal and two assists -- and took care of the Rangers after not scoring for 158 minutes. Beating the Rangers had been a problem for them recently, but Scott Clemmensen has 12 wins in lieu of Martin Brodeur. The Rangers, losers of three straight, got goals from Nigel Dawes and defensema Dmitri Kalinin.
- Sabres 4, Islanders 3 (SO): Those two goals in the final 1:34 were worth a nice point. Mike Comrie and then Chris Campoli (with two seconds remaining) tied the game only to see Ryan Miller slam the door in the shootout. Still, one point is better than none.
- Nets 114, Bobcats 103 (OT): What a difference a day makes. Vince Carter had 28 points, Devin Harris had 26 and the Nets avenged a home loss just 24 hours earlier. They didn't play particularly good defense -- Charlotte shot 48 percent from the floor -- but they forced 18 turnovers. That was enough.
