You may not have noticed, but the Earth was at perihelion yesterday. Today, we're a bit further from the sun. The warm weather won't last much longer as a cold front is crossing the region this afternoon. The front should thin out the clouds, perhaps letting the receding sun to shine for a bit. More importantly the temperature will start to drop. Before the front arrives we should see an unseasonably warm high in the upper 40s.
