Has WABC Changed for the Worse? We are starting to think that Bill Beutel, Roger Grimsby, or Tom Snyder would not recognize their former station if they came back to life. Sure the station is dominant in the ratings but has the quality of the news product gone down?

Anthony Bourdain, who has taken to guest-blogging for Michael Ruhlman, has already offered his opinions on Top Chef contestants. Now, he's on to bigger and better targets -- the personalities on the Food Network. He admits to watching it, "I find myself riveted by its awfulness, like watching a multi-car accident in slow motion," and has plenty to say about those who grace its airwaves. Emeril: "I STILL find him unwatchable." Giada: "Food Net seems more interested in her enormous head (big head equals big ratings. Really!) and her cleavage--than the fact that she’s likeable, knows what she’s doing in an Italian kitchen--and makes food you’d actually want to eat." Rachel Ray: "She’s a friendly, familiar face who appears regularly on our screens to tell us that '[e]ven your dumb, lazy ass can cook this!'" Sandra Lee: "Pure evil. This frightening Hell Spawn of Kathie Lee and Betty Crocker seems on a mission to kill her fans, one meal at a time."

Last Thursday, we watched Late Night with Conan O'Brien with Howard Stern as guest. Howard, who you probably remember more when he was on 92.3FM was the guest, was doing his best to pimp Sirius Satellite. And how did he do that? After giving Conan (but not the whole audience) a Sirius Satellite radio, he mentioned that he had Martha Stewart on his show and she revealed she used a vibrator (The Thumper, though she initially mentioned that on The View!) and that women were interested in her at prison (naturally!). Conan then gave Howard the Sirius Satellite radio back, only half-jokingly.

This was not a very happy week for the -ist network as one of our own,

-- Rachel Ray's true enemy has finally shown her face. That's not a good thing.
