Cops Arrest Teens For Fatal Purse Mugging, Suspect's Mom Says It's A Set-Up
The police arrested three teens for the fatal mugging of a Queens woman last week. Rabia Mohammed, 23, apparently refused to give up her purse, which held $20 in cash, an iPod and her cell phone, and she was shot in the heart. The suspects are 16 and 17 years old and will be charged with second-degree murder, robbery and possession of a criminal weapon, but one's mother spoke to the Post, "He told me, ‘Mommy, I just didn’t do it’ ... but they’re trying to pin me with murder. I didn’t kill no one.'"
Husband: Slain Mugging Victim Wanted To Keep Sentimental Text Messages
On Sunday night, a 23-year-old woman was killed during a mugging in Queens. Police said that the suspects fatally shot Rabia Mohammed because she didn't want to give up her purse and now her husband says she was probably trying to save her cellphone, "She was very sentimental. She really cherished our text messages. She has four cellphones that are full. When she doesn't have any memory left, she gets a new phone."

Woman Stabbed For Refusing To Give Up Purse
A woman was stabbed on the UWS by a mugger early this morning when she refused to hand over her pocketbook. The 27-year-old victim was waiting for a northbound 2 train at w 96th St. when the mugger approached her around 2:30 a.m. (DNA Info says it was 1 a.m.). He took out a knife and demanded her purse, but when she refused, he attacked her, stabbed her in the torso, then took off with the handbag.
