The nine-year-old New Jersey boy who was stabbed and killed in a Harlem housing project on Saturday was murdered over a video game, according to the Daily News. Fourth grade student Anthony Maldonado was spending the weekend with his uncle in the General Grant Houses when 25-year-old Alejandro Morales — one of his uncle's roommates — plunged a knife into the boy's chest after an altercation involving a Tony Hawk skateboarding video game, according to police.

PlayStation 3 Robbery on Upper East Side
This might be the first PlayStation 3 robbed in the city. A man who bought a PS3 yesterday morning was stopped by a man on Third Avenue who threatened him with a silver gun. The Daily News reports that the PS3 owner, who had just purchased the game console at a store on East 86th Street, found a patrol car and the cops managed to catch the robber. It turns out the thief used a cigarette lighter as his "gun."
Playstation 3 Has Arrived...Two More Days Till Wii
Angel Parades was the first person to buy the Playstation 3 at the Sony Store in Midtown (apparently Charlie Murphy was on the scene!) while Sergio Rodriguez bought the first one at the Union Square Circuit City. Rodriquez said, "This is the best game ever. It's so worth the wait. Some people may call me crazy, but I really love to play."
Stormy, Stormy Night
That radar image is showing one bad-ass line of thunderstorms extending south from Rochester. The weather is heating up today, literally and figuratively. Central Park topped out at 69 degrees, while Teterboro reached 72. The 16 degrees above average is our most abnormally warm day since April 20th, when the high temperature was 21 degrees above normal.
To PS3 or Not to Be. Wii Wait In Line?
If you haven't showered in a few days, there is a good chance that you're probably waiting on a line trying desperately to score one of the new next generation console releases from Sony and Nintendo.
