Earlier this week, anti-Facebook Preacher Cedric Miller made national headlines when he asked the elders of his church to stop using the website, in order to inspire his other congregants to do the same, because it was a "portal to infidelity." It seems that Miller may have been inspired by his own experiences: the Asbury Park Press reports that Miller had himself engaged in a three-way relationship with his wife and a man a decade ago, according to testimony he gave in a criminal case. Also, sometimes the other man's wife was present. He testified, "...I mean there was touching, there was
it was crazy, it was as wrong as wrong could get. Yes.'' So we guess this means some people don't need Facebook to be led into temptation.

Anti-Facebook NJ Preacher Fights Digital Temptation
Facebook is making all sorts of moves these days, introducing their new "Gmail Killer" email service, and making mysterious announcements with MySpace. But you can never please some people: a NJ preacher has started calling on congregants and elders in his church to give up Facebook...because of all that digital temptation lurking in every friend request!
Will A SI Ferry Preacher's Plea Deal Keep Him Quiet?
Has one of the Staten Island Ferry pastors been silenced from preaching to his (involuntary) commuting congregation? SILive reports that Michael Ihedioha (also known as Michael Nwadiuko) has been sentenced to three years probation and is likely to keep mum after cutting a plea deal yesterday to a misdemeanor obstruction charge.
Bedford Avenue "Preacher" Speaks Out...Some More
If you have been to Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, you have seen the ranting grey-haired man pacing up and down the middle of the street. Usually positioned between North 5th and North 7th, sometimes later in the day he'll make it all the way down to the South Side, probably on his way home. Lawrence LaDouceur lives at the Glenwood Hostel, and prior to that he's led quite a life. One brave soul has now gone one-on-one with him, making him the subject of a short film; Russel Fong captures LaDouceur's thoughts as they pour from his head, and he even visits his current home. Maybe next time you see him you'll give him a chance and have your own one-on-one (it's a bit heart-wrenching when he tells Fong of their talk: "you don't know how good this is for me.")
Video of the Day: SI Ferry Preacher Faces Criticism
Seems as though the Staten Island Ferry riders have had enough of the preachers that give unsolicited sermons during their daily commutes. Today one of them stood up to a preacher, and garnered much applause for the act.
