Prada Trims Fat, Gets Sued
Have you checked in on the SoHo Prada employees lately? Word is that some higher ups at the company don't want any old, fat or ugly people working for them (sound familiar?). The Daily News reports that Rina Bovrisse, a senior retail manager at Prada Japan, has filed a lawsuit against CEO Daide Sesia for discrimination and harassment. Bovrisse was not only told that she had to fire 15 staffers who didn't fit the designer label's image, but that she was also to lose weight and get a new hairstyle! Allegedly Sesia is "ashamed of [her] ugliness, so he doesn't want visitors from Italy to see her." Bovrisse is now on involuntary leave from the company.

Prada Glasses Lost and Found in Brooklyn
This doesn't happen in New York all too often: the reading glasses pictured were found on March 21st on Prospect Park West, and the person who found them decided to practice some internet chivalry rather than cash in on the brand name spectacles.
Bloomberg Doesn't Want You to Fake Purse It
Nothing says press conference like raiding a 32 stores in what the city dubs "Counterfeit Triangle" and hauling away over a $1 million worth of brand-name products. The raid, taking down stores in the area bounded by Canal Street, Walker Street and Centre Street, occurred in the early morning, with cops using bolt-cutters to gain entry and tractor-trailers to take the haul away Coach, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbanna, Dior, Prada, Rolex, Fendi, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Dora the Explorer and Oakley merchandise.
