Prada Trims Fat, Gets Sued

Have you checked in on the SoHo Prada employees lately? Word is that some higher ups at the company don't want any old, fat or ugly people working for them (sound familiar?). The Daily News reports that Rina Bovrisse, a senior retail manager at Prada Japan, has filed a lawsuit against CEO Daide Sesia for discrimination and harassment. Bovrisse was not only told that she had to fire 15 staffers who didn't fit the designer label's image, but that she was also to lose weight and get a new hairstyle! Allegedly Sesia is "ashamed of [her] ugliness, so he doesn't want visitors from Italy to see her." Bovrisse is now on involuntary leave from the company. more ›
