"Radio Sweetheart, Boy Detective, It's The Sound of Young America . Maximum Fun! Maximum Fun!" The Sound of Young America (TSOYA) was recently named "Pick of the Podcasts" by Time Magazine and Salon.com's Audiofile said, " "If you've never heard of TSOYA, then TSOYA is the greatest radio show you've never heard of." Of course, I've heard of it; I'm a subscriber. That's why when I found out its host Jesse Thorn was coming to New York with his sketch group Prank the Dean, I knew I had to interview him. And interview him I did!

...[NYC Transit] has EMTs posted at 6 busy stations across the system during rush hour - Grand Central-42nd St, 125th St-Lexington Ave, Bowling Green, 5th Ave-53rd St, Queens Plaza, and Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue...It has MTA spokesman Paul Fleuranges narrating, along with actual radio transmissions of conductors diverting trains for sick customers and interviews with EMTs and nurses. Pretty informative stuff.
As part of her MFA, Alexis Lloyd created this very cool site, My Washington Square, which gives people a way to share experiences. She calls it an "experience-mapping project," as people can submit stories - or read others or learn about the park's history. When you submit your story, you drag a marker to the part of the park you want, describe what happened, when it happened, and can even add a photo. This will probably be the wave of the future - just add Podcasts and videos, and this will become a time capsule.
