Women Scarred By Cosmetic Surgeon Furious He Kept His License For So Long

After scores of malpractice lawsuits over the course of three decades, a Staten Island plastic surgeon finally had his medical license suspended this month and was deemed "an imminent danger to the health of the people of the state." Legal documents show that Dr. Robert Cattani, whom the Post dubs "the Richmond County ripper," leaves behind a horrifying trail of botched medical procedures. And though he may be prevented from perforating a patient's bowels during a liposuction like he did back in 2007, many of his former patients wonder why it took so long for his practice to be shut down. more ›

Ali Lohan Says She Never Got Plastic Surgery

Ali Lohan Says She Never Got Plastic Surgery

You know when Ali Lohan, sister of Lindsay, showed her face in September and it was a totally different face from the one she had previously? Well, following denials from her family members that she had plastic surgery and an eating disorder, she has finally spoken out for herself, telling Page Six Magazine:

"I was cracking up. Because, like, when would I do that? I'm 17 years old. That's not legal! I would need my mother's signature, and do you think my mom would ever sign off on that?"
Yes? Anyway, the 17-year-old, who is now modeling, says plastic surgery is "not the right thing to do," and calls the rumors "stupid." Also, she doesn't do drugs when they're offered to her, saying, "I just say no. I'm lucky enough that I had my sister to learn from. I’ve seen people do it to her, so I've learned to be like, 'That’s stupid, no.' That’s why me and Lindsay are also so close, because we’re able to talk about those things together." It's important to note that this interview with Page Six Magazine took place on Opposite Day. more ›

Lohan Clan Not Worried About The Incredible Shrinking Ali

Lohan Clan Not Worried About The Incredible Shrinking Ali

The Lohan clan is sticking up for youngest daughter Ali, who recently showed off her shocking new look consisting of skin, bones, and botox. Though her modeling rep says, "Aliana has never had any type of plastic surgery in her life, nor has she ever considered it. Her success as a model lies with her natural looks and she has no interest in changing that. During the past two years, she has gone through a normal teenage growth spurt that has made her taller and slimmer. It has also slightly changed the composure of her face, all of which is typical of what happens to kids in their mid to late teens. It’s what most people refer to as the awkward stage. Ali is growing up, that’s all." Yeah, totally normal. more ›

Photo: Lindsay Lohan's Long Island Teen Sis Has Alarming New Look

The latest Lohan to fall into a downward spiral is Lindsay's little sis Ali (or, ahem, Aliana), who recently signed a modeling contract, and this week she was photographed with a new look that sorta screams "plastic surgery." Not only that, the Long Island teen is allegedly down to just 95 lbs, and a Columbia University professor says she "has the look of someone who may binge and purge plus calorie restrict." more ›

Thanks To Plastic Surgery, NJ Woman Can't Close Her Eyes

Bad plastic surgery doesn't just happen to Sly Stallone: a NJ woman says an eyelid procedure gone wrong is the reason she can no longer close her eyes. Marilyn Leisz is suing Dr. Paul Parker for negligence for her eyes-stuck-wide-open surgery. “All the favorite things I used to, like tennis, racquetball, swimming, horseback riding, bike riding, skeet shooting, gardening, I can’t do those things,” Leisz told CBS. more ›

Plastic Surgeon Busted After Botched Procedures

Plastic Surgeon Busted After Botched Procedures

A doctor from the Dominican Republic was arrested Monday for luring New Yorkers out of the country with offers of cheap plastic surgery and then giving them exactly what they paid for. 51-year-old Hector Cabral, who is not licensed to practice medicine in New York, has allegedly been coming to town since at least 1999 to work the city's spa and salon scene for potential clients (he liked to whip out his black marker on the spot). Once he'd hooked them with offers of affordable boob jobs and liposuction they would fly to Santa Domingo, but the doctor's work was not so much magic—his patients were allegedly left with substantial pain, scarring and permanent disfigurement afterward. more ›

NYPD Busts Fake Boob Doc

NYPD Busts Fake Boob Doc

If you got a boob job in the past two years from a woman named Whalesca Castillo, you might want to have it checked out. Because Castillo? Not actually a doctor! Cops today busted the unlicensed 36-year-old for allegedly running a plastic surgery outfit out of her Inwood Avenue apartment for almost two years after officials noticed she'd received a large number of packages of "a silicone substance" from her native Dominican Republic. Neighbors hadn't noticed anything suspicious about Castillo, except that "a lot of really good looking ladies" could be seen coming and going. So at least the work was good? more ›

"Tits On A Stick": Sexy Banker Had Two Boob Jobs

"Tits On A Stick": Sexy Banker Had Two Boob Jobs

Some ledes just can't be improved upon, so we're not going to bother tampering with the Daily News's opening line in their vital latest report on the sexy banker: "Turns out those assets are inflated." Just when you thought (hoped?) the story of buxom banker Debrahlee Lorenzana was running out of steam, the tabloid turned up a four-part Discovery Health Channel series chronicling Lorenzana's search for a plastic surgeon. It's unclear what this has to do with her legal action against Citigroup, but who cares when we've got our hot heroine saying stuff like, "That's what I want to be: tits on a stick." more ›

"Butt Enhancement" Quack Injected Women with Caulk

"Butt Enhancement" Quack Injected Women with Caulk

New Jersey Health officials are trying to get the word out about a phony plastic surgeon whose botched “butt enhancements” have turned women’s rears into pocked “moonscapes.” Six Newark-area women, all from the Dominican Republic, visited the quack hoping to emerge with bubble butts. Instead, injections of what officials believe was silicone, petroleum jelly and “hardware-grade caulk” caused nasty infections. "What we've been hearing from the hospitals is that these women are presented with deep tissue infections and skin infections. Abscesses form in some cases," said New Jersey Health Department epidemiologist Dr. Tina Tan. more ›

Bo-Tax Protest Staged in Times Square

Bo-Tax Protest Staged in Times Square

Bike riders weren't the only ones demonstrating in the rain yesterday; in Times Square a small but annoying group gathered to protest a Congressional proposal to tax breast augmentations, facelifts, tummy tucks and other procedures, as a way to fund a health care bill. The protest was organized by an affluent Park Avenue plastic surgeon, Dr. Stephen Greenberg, who was on hand holding a sign that read, "Washington leave our boobs alone." But this video of the small, shrill protest suggests that Greenberg might have his hands full trying to rally the masses. more ›

Fake Doctor Busted for Cosmetic Injections on Staten Island

Fake Doctor Busted for Cosmetic Injections on Staten Island

Hi everybody, who wants to look younger? Yesterday a 42-year-old Staten Island man named Eduard Belfer turned himself over to police, who accuse him of posing as a doctor while working at the appropriately-named "Staten Island Pain Associates." Last month the state Education Department received a tip that Belfer was performing cosmetic treatments there without a medical license, so they set up a sting and busted him offering to inject an undercover investigator with Ristalin, which is similar to Botox. more ›

Amateur Plastic Surgery Kills Bronx Mom

Amateur Plastic Surgery Kills Bronx Mom

After a prolonged autopsy, a Bronx medical examiner has concluded that the death of a 43-year-old mother of two was a homicide, the result of botched plastic surgery. On March 17th, Siordaliza Pichardo checked herself a Bronx hospital, complaining of dizziness and difficulty breathing; she later went into cardiac arrest and expired during the night. One day earlier, Pichardo had received silicone injections from a friend of hers who, according to investigators, is a "nonmedical, unlicensed person." After extensive tests, the ME determined the cause of death to be "silicone pulmonary embolism," and found that Pichardo had silicone clotting in her lungs. Her 21-year-old son Kelvin Rodriguez tells Newsday that his mother had gotten the silicon injections because she wanted to add shape to her thighs and buttocks; he says he was "strongly opposed that my mom was doing this because she didn't need it." more ›

Miss New York is "Real"

Miss New York is "Real"

The Brooklyn Paper takes an awkwardly close look at Miss New York's "most recognizable assets," and declares, "They're spectacular — and they're real." 22-year-old Leigh-Taylor Smith won the title of Miss Brooklyn, somewhat controversially, before donning the Miss New York crown. She'll be competing for the Miss America title in January, but before that happens she cleared up any rumors that she had been surgically enhanced. One Brooklyn Paper reader said he still had his doubts, and that "they're too perfect. If she told me she could fly, I would believe her [more]." Another passerby during a recent photoshoot observed and decided "they're fake." On a less creepy note, the Paper also reports that "Smith will participate in an eight-episode reality show with the 51 other Miss America contestants" -- where anyone with basic cable can pass judgment. For now, here's a photo of her strutting down the runway in a two-piece. more ›
