An interesting tidbit over at the NY Times, who interviewed with NY Aquarium shark researcher Hans Walters: penguins will bite you! While he's never been bitten by a shark, he says: "I’ve only been bitten once — by a penguin. It was more like a bad pinch. These animals are our co-workers here; part of our job is teaching them certain behaviors." The War on Christmas isn't just being waged outside the Lincoln Tunnel; it's taking place at the YMCA (oops, we mean, The Y) now as well. According to the Post, the 14th Street McBurney YMCA has kicked Santa Claus to the curb for their popular annual holiday luncheon, and instead turned to the religiously ambiguous duo of a a talking snowman and his sidekick, an anonymous penguin, to entertain kids. more ›

Martial arts master and star of movies and television, Chuck Norris, is suing a New York publishing company along with a Brown University student who established an Internet site that passes along purported facts about him. The Norris-facts phenomena is a longtime Internet meme and the actor says that he doesn't mind when sites continue it as long as they are non-commercial. Ian Roberts, the Brown student who operates one Norris-facts site, teamed up with Penguin publishing to market a book compiling the humorous two-liners.
