Nassau County police has arrested a 23-year-old female teacher for an alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student. According to the police, Kaitlin Grant was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The earth science and math substitute teacher reportedly met the teen while teaching at Freeport High School.

Taleek Brooks (aka Tyleek Brooks), a former teacher's aide at PS 243 (The Weeksville School), was charged today with several counts of sexual exploitation of a child, possessing child pornography, and distributing the materials to other alleged pedophiles via file-sharing sites.

Police today arrested 49-year-old P.S. 174 computer teacher Wilbert Cortez, 49, and charged him with second-degree sexual misconduct against a child and acting in a manner to injure a child under 17.

Another week, another Bergen County, New Jersey teacher accused of sleeping with a student. Lyndhurst High School football coach and phys. ed. teacher Scott Rubinetti was arrested yesterday and charged with sexual assault, child endangerment and witness tampering. Police say that between 2009 and 2010 he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a senior girl in his charge.
Police: New Jersey HS Teacher Slept With His Student
A history teacher in New Jersey was arrested yesterday morning and accused of carrying on a months-long inappropriate relationship with a former student, a 16-year-old at Passaic Valley High School where he worked. 32-year-old Kyle Daniw was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. "There is no evidence other than this child, but we are investigating whether there are other victims," Chief Assistant Prosecutor Joseph A. Del Russo told the Record. But "that’s always a concern."
Police Seek Man Who Impersonated Cop And Lured Teen For Sexual Assault In Brooklyn
The NYPD has released this sketch of a man they say posed as a police officer and sexually assaulted a teenage boy in Brooklyn on Friday morning. According to police, the man, who was dressed as a civilian, approached the 15-year-old boy around 9:30 a.m. on a subway platform at the 53rd Street and 4th Avenue subway station in Sunset Park. After seeing the teen throw an empty bag of chips onto the platform, investigators say he produced what appeared to be a police badge and ordered the teen to accompany him.

Police have now revealed that the 16-year-old suspect who has confessed to the murder of WABC news reporter George Weber is John Katehis of East Elmhurst. Katehis was picked up last night at a bus depot in Middletown up in Orange County.
