Knicks 100, Nets 93: No Stephon Marbury, and the Knicks take down the Nets. Of course, the Nets didn't have Jason Kidd (headache), so who knows which team was worse off. Richard Jefferson's heroics couldn't get the job done for the Nets, who continue to play inexplicably poorly at home following road games. Jamal Crawford filled the backcourt "void" for the Knicks with 29 points, and Zach Randolph had 25. Richard Jefferson had 31 points...

Senators 3, Rangers 1: The Rangers are still working on that back-to-back thing. They gave up three goals in 52 seconds in an ugly reversal of their opening-night win. Other than that, the game went fine.
Red Bulls 1, FC Dallas 0: After 360 minutes of play, the Red Bulls haven't allowed a goal. They won't lose too many games if they keep playing like that. They're 3-0-1, and they set an MLS record for the longest shutout streak to start a season.
Devils 3, Lightning 2: Martin Brodeur may have stepped up his play, but the improvement of the Devils' defense made the biggest difference. Brodeur went eight minutes at one point without having to make a save. On offense, Brian Gionta had two goals, and Patrick Elias had an assist on all three scores. New Jersey's win mean it draws Ottawa next, and the Rangers will face the Sabres.
Bruins 4, Devils 1: Rare do you see the Devils come out flat, but that's exactly what they did at home against the Bruins. Boston is fighting for a playoff spot and New Jersey is safely ensconced, but that doesn't excuse an effort like that. The Devils let a young backup goalkeeper named Joey McDonald hold down the fort. Patrick Elias said his team "had nothing" and that "there just wasn't enough urgency on our part." That about covers it.

Hornets 84, Nets 82: As much as the Nets appreciate the start to the season Antoine Wright has had, they probably don't want him taking their final shot at the buzzer. But Wright did just that after starting for Vince Carter -- out with a sprained ankle -- and the result wasn't pretty. Carter's injury will have him out the always mysterious "indefinitely," and the Nets will have to find offense elsewhere. Richard Jefferson (32...

The Devils jumped out to an early lead off of a John Madden goal, but New York took a 2-1 lead in the third after Petr Prucha scored his ninth goal of the year. Thomas Pock was called for tripping with just under five minutes left and the Devils converted to tie the game.
