Getting sick in cabs, there's really no protocol on how to handle the situation, and in the past it's even led to physical assault. The latest tale of cab sickness has made it to the NY Post, where they report a 6-year-old boy got sick in the back seat of a cab, which he was riding in with his mom Shamie Cuthbert near Lincoln Center on Saturday night.

JetBlue Memo Says Slater Lied About Dispute
Oh the fleeting star of celebrity. According to AP, JetBlue has yet to find anyone on Steven Slater's flight who can confirm that he got into such a nasty dispute with a passenger. Slater claimed his grand, double-fisting exit was preceded by a fight with a rude passenger, but passenger reports say it was Slater who was rude for most of the flight, and nobody has recalled the final dispute. Now a few are saying Slater, who may have been drunk on the flight, was lying about the head gash that may have started it all.
JetBlue Passenger: Steven Slater Was Sloshed On Flight
The Steven Slater saga continues! The JetBlue flight attendant's Folk Hero title didn't even last a full week, with passengers from the flight he made a dramatic departure from speaking up about what they witnessed that day. Some say he seemed "disturbed" during the entire 90-minute flight, and another recently told Eyewitness News, "This guy was a like a jerk the whole time, like I'm getting so frustrated with all of these people who keep saying he was a hero." Like totally. Anyway, now some are saying the recovering alcoholic may have been drunk for the entire flight (he did grab those two beers on his way out).
Jet Blue Flight Attendant Pushed To Edge By "Malicious" Passenger
Yesterday a JetBlue flight attendant, Steven Slater, made a dramatic departure from his job after a passenger on his flight refused to follow the rules. The meltdown occurred when Slater told a passenger not to remove bags from the overhead compartment until the plane was stopped. When his request was ignored, the 39-year-old Slater took to the intercom and declared: "To the fucking asshole that told me to fuck off, it's been a good 28 years!" He then grabbed a couple of beers, activated the emergency chute, grabbed his bags, and slid to his freedom.
SI Ferry More Crowded Than Ever Before!
Subway ridership dropped last year but the Staten Island ferry had people hanging off the railings. Passenger numbers set an all-time record: more than 21 million people rode the ferry in 2009, reports the Staten Island Advance. During rush hours sleepy commuters couldn’t catch a nap since all the seats were taken; they couldn’t get a pick-me-up since the concessions line took almost as long as the ride. "Ferry riders tell us we're on the right track and we will continue to look for new ways to make their rides as safe, comfortable and attractive as they can be,” said DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan.
MTA Service Cuts Will Make Seats Scarce
"It's a double whammy," Gene Russianoff, staff lawyer for the Straphangers Campaign, told Gothamist. "You'll have to wait longer for a train, and you'll have a reduced chance of finding a seat." According to MTA documents [PDF], instead of attempting to accommodate 100 percent of off-peak passengers with seats, the agency will aim to fill the cars with 125 percent of the "seated load." Commuters can expect more crowded trains during all off-peak hours on the 7 and L lines, midday and evenings on the 1 and A lines, and Sundays on the J and M lines. And the number of seat-less commuters is actually expected to exceed the proposed maximum of 18 standing passengers on F and Q lines at certain times on Saturdays, and on 1 and N trains at certain times on Saturdays and Sundays.
NY Man Busted For Bumrushing Cockpit
What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens on your flight there will end up in the papers! The Daily News reports that passengers on a United Airlines flight bound for Sin City had to tackle a New York man who approached the cockpit door with a large bag while in the air on Saturday. Six passengers restrained him after he tried to open a side exit door, and then started banging on the cockpit door. Around 5 p.m. the flight made an emergency landing in Denver, where the unruly man was arrested and interviewed by the FBI — he is currently undergoing medical evaluation.
Woman Stuck Between Platform And Train At Borough Hall
Brooklyn-bound 4 and 5 trains were halted at the Bowling Green station this afternoon when a woman got stuck between the platform and the train in Borough Hall. An MTA Transit spokeswoman told Gothamist that "a customer slipped and they got their leg wedged between the train." The incident occurred at some time before 5:45 pm and rescuers turned off the power on the line so they could extricate the woman. She was rescued and service resumed at 6:03 pm, according to the spokeswoman.
Ivana Trump Is The Week's Second Worst Airline Passenger
Just one day after a man attempted to explode an airplane before landing, Ivana Trump blew up at passengers before take-off, launching obscenities at children aboard the flight to New York and police officers. Her outburst caused a two hour delay for other passengers headed from Palm Beach International Airport to LaGuardia.
AA's "Fat Flier" Got Whole Row
After a photo emerged yesterday of an overweight man on an American Airlines flight, flooding the aisle with flab, Federal aviation authorities investigated the image.
Apparently before being airborne, flight attendants gave the man two extra seats, which is in line with safety rules, according to the NY Post. This was accomplished by offering another passenger a ticket for a later flight, so the overweight man could have an entire aisle to himself.
Bus Driver Fatally Stabbed by Passenger
A bus driver on the B46 line in Brooklyn died after being stabbed around 12:30 p.m. today. WCBS 2 reports, "Police told CBS 2 HD that a passenger leaving the bus asked for a transfer. The driver refused to give him one. An argument ensued and the suspect pulled out an object and stabbed the driver with it." The driver was taken to Woodhull Hospital, and then transferred to NY Presbyterian, where he died. The suspect is a black male in his late teens; WABC 7 reports that a witness chased him, but lost him.
