Pace Confirms Bedbug Library Problem, Insists It's "Limited"

Pace University's library had a wee bedbug problem, but now that's all behind them, a spokesperson assures us this morning. We reported yesterday that the university's Henry Birnbaum Library was abruptly shut down in the afternoon, and one student said a librarian conspiratorially leaned in to say: " 'Don't tell anyone this,' and then whispered 'bed bugs.' NYPD Releases Video Of Pace Murder Suspects

Surveillance video of two men believed to be involved in the killing of a Pace University student was released last night. Max Moreno was shot in his Financial District apartment building last month, during what police believe may have been a drug deal gone wrong or a set-up robbery. A witness said that Moreno, described as a "small-time pot dealer," allegedly refused to give any money to two armed men, one of whom pulled a trigger. more ›

Pace Student's Suicide Try Triggers Subway Terror Scare

A Pace student dressed as a subway track worker set off a terror scare inside the tunnel connecting the Borough Hall and Bowling Green stations early this morning when five flares were found in his backpack. NYC Transit employees reported him to police after he failed to produce identification, but police now believe the student was actually trying to kill himself, as two liters of water and a quart container of cyanide were also found in the 20-year-old's backpack. NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne told the Daily News, "This was not a terrorist plot. We believe it was part of a plan for an individual to kill himself alone." more ›

Former Pace Student Admits to Dumping Korans in Toilet

The serial flusher responsible for two Koran toilet dunkings at Pace University has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to 300 hours of community service. Stanislav Shmulevich, a Russian immigrant, was a business major at the time of the incidents, in which a copy of the Koran was twice discovered in the toilet – the first time "covered in feces" – in October and November 2006. more ›
