200 Bears Killed On First Day Of NJ Bear Hunt

200 Bears Killed On First Day Of NJ Bear Hunt

Shooting black bears is as New Jersey as GTL or misplacing $600 million. Thankfully for the state's tourism board, a court ruled against activists attempting to block the festivities, and the six-day hunt is in full-swing, with over 200 bruins "harvested" so far. One hunter who killed a 181.5 lb bear explained to the Star-Ledger that it was for the animal's own good. "If I had a choice, I'd rather be shot than freeze to death over several months." It's Bloomberg Hunting Season for Gun Dealers

Unhappy over the Mayor's gun dealer stings last May, one Georgia gun dealer has decided to sue Mayor Mike for $400 million. Adventure Outdoors, a gun dealer in Smyrna, Georgia (best known as Julia Roberts' hometown), claims the mayor's sting was "careless, willful and clearly illegal." Former Georgia congressman Bob Barr filed the suit, which also claims that the Mayor "made defamatory comments about the store and that undercover investigators used false information to buy firearms." The AP says that during the press conference announcing the suit, supporters "cheered" and "danced", complete with flags. We're shocked people weren't dressed as the Constitution! more ›
