Back in December we mentioned that Snooki from Jersey Shore was charging $2,000 per appearance — and later (post-punch) that price was up to $10,000, making her the highest paid guidette of all the cast.

NYU Law School Grad Fatally Struck in Hit and Run
A weekend before she was the begin her first job since graduating from law school, a 25-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car in lower Manhattan. Marilyn Feng, a recent NYU Law grad, was walking home with her boyfriend at 3:40 a.m. this morning, when the pair was struck by a Toyota Camry while crossing West Street near Battery Park City. The driver was taken into custody and a police source told the Daily News that alcohol is suspected. Feng's boyfriend, Dennis Loffredo, ended up with a broken leg as a result of the accident. His father told the News, "Marilyn is a delightful girl. Everyone who met her loved her...(She) was studying hard for the bar exam in July....and was excited about getting her career started." Loffredo has still not learned of his girlfriend of a year's death as he was knocked unconscious after his injuries stemming from the accident.
NYU Law Students Use Capitalism to Get Classes
Money talks, or at least can get you a seat in coveted classes at NYU Law School. The Post says that the cash-for-certain classes marketplace was hot and heavy on the school's forums, with emails like "WANT: Entertainment Law, Will Pay Cash" and "I really want this class. I don't have any classes to trade, so I'll rely on the old capitalist standby, cash.". But Vice Dean Liam Murphy sent an email reminding students "that trading class spots for money or goods, or offering to do so, is a violation of law school rules," but apparently it's been in practice for years. One recent graduate explained, "We believe in the free market, and we think that we should be able buy things that are valuable to us. Our job is to find our way around rules." Just think what the kids in joint JD-MBA programs are doing!
