- And on a final non-NYC-but-big-movie-fan note, Chicagoist has a very special Get Well Roger Ebert project. Add your photograph of you giving the thumbs-up to the Get Well Roger Flickr Pool to let the recuperating critic know you care! And Roger definitely knows about it - it's on his website, too!

It's done: As expected, Larry Brown is now the new head coach of the NY Knicks. A Times article says Brown is "noted for his ability to teach players basic basketball skills and for his belief in ball movement on the court..." and these are fine things: Players on an NBA team should know how to play basketball and ball movement on the court is good, too especially when you want to win. Anyway, it's time for you to write the caption for this photo. Here are a few of our thoughts:

Even though the season's winding down, the New York Knicks are taking advantage of spring fever and organizing another Singles Night at Madison Square Garden. After a successful event earlier this year, Gothamist is teaming up with the Knicks again for an evening of mixing and mingling before, during and after a game against the Atlanta Hawks on April 17.

As Gothamist has been working with the NY Knicks on this Sunday's Singles Night promotion, we had the opportunity to talk to some more people who are integral to any Knicks home game: The Knicks City Dancers. We asked Kimberlee Garris (whose nickname is "Harvard"), Erika Hamilton (a pizzaholic - alert Slice!) and team captain Michelle Marella a few questions about life in and out of Madison Square Garden.

The tickets are $55, including a discounted seat in the 300 section, a pregame "mixer" and a post-game party with drinks and refreshments - not to mention meeting some new people. And to make things interesting, if you and someone you hit it off with decide to go out again, you could win a Valentine's Day trip to Philadelphia to see the Knicks play the 76ers.
