Tom DeLay Gets Three Years

The hammer is coming down on The Hammer. Tom DeLay, former House majority leader and owner of the one of the best mugshots ever, was sentenced today to three years in prison for his role in a scheme that channeled corporate contributions around Texas. Of course DeLay, who is expected to make his $10,000 bond while awaiting an appeal, is still maintaining his innocence. "This is an abuse of power. SI Mall's New Way to Show Who's Been Naughty

If the the tanking economy or decline in Santas and Christmas trees isn't enough to take the yuletide spirit out of your holiday shopping this year, a mall in Staten Island has found a new way to spruce itself up for the season: putting up mug shots of shoplifters. The Staten Island Mall is giving everyone a look at thieves who were caught stealing there by placing the crooks' photographs up on advertising boards throughout it. Bush's Mug Shot Brings Controversy to NYPL

An exhibit at the main branch of the New York Public Library is drawing outrage from Republicans because some of the work on display depicts former and current members of the Bush administration posing for fake mug shots.
