Who knew radio could be so dangerous? The Daily News reports that deejay Wendy Williams' husband (the two are pictured together) had plotted to kill one of Hot97's deejays, a rival who allegedly trashed his wife on the air.

JV & Elvis Out of the Doghouse, Now Strays
JV and Elvis, the on-air duo who inhabit "The Doghouse" on 92.3 Free FM, had their suspension from CBS Radio upgraded to a firing. The morning show pair were suspended late last month after CBS received complaints about a show in which a prank call is placed to a Chinese restaurant, and lewd language and racial slurs were employed in an attempt at humor. It was the second time in a month JV and Elvis found themselves in hot water. Earlier in April, the two were criticized for using a number of anti-gay slurs against a musician guest on their show after he admitted that he didn't listen to commercial radio and had never heard of them. Their site appears to be dormant at this time.
DJ Star Blames Other DJs For His Potty Mouth
Troi Torain, aka DJ Star, aka the DJ who threatened rival DJ Envy by saying he'd pull an R. Kelly on DJ Envy's four year old daughter, while using racist slurs to refer to DJ Envy's wife, is hoping his criminal case will be thrown out. DJ Star was arrested for his remarks (child endangerment), but his lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, says that other DJs started it. Namely, Miss Jones, from Miss Jones in the Morning on Hot 97. Torain claims Miss Jones called him an "alcoholic" and said he "liked boys," called his mom a "prostitute" and his dad a "tar-black" "Sambo," and said her young son's penis was probably the size of Torain's (via Daily News and Post). Okay, those aren't very nice, but why all the vitriol towards DJ Envy when it's all about Miss Jones? At any rate, Brafman would like the whole Miss Jones in the Morning crew to be arrested.

More Fallout Over Radio "Shock" Jocks' Tsunami Song
A few NYC politicians lashed out against Hot 97 for playing a controversial song mocking the South East tsunami for four days. City Councilman Robert Jackson called Hot 97 "sick." Councilman John Liu noted that morning personality Todd Lynn said disturbingly "I'm going to start shooting Asians" and is working with others to have the FCC throw down its weight on Emmis Communications, owners of Hot 97, and prompt the firing of Miss Jones, the morning show host - essentially, do more than apologize and simply ask its morning show staffers to donate a week's salary to the tsunami cause. Councilman James Gennaro emphasized the need to go after Hot 97's advertisers.
Hot 97 In Hot Water
Hot 97's apology consists of its morning staff contributing one week of salary to tsunami relief, but hiphopmusic has contact information for Emmis Communications (Hot 97's owner) plus other advertisers for people to complain to (we are going to complain). And when you listen to the clip, you'll hear the Miss Jones in the Morning crew square off against Miss Info.
