Method Man, a member of Staten Island's hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, was arrested yesterday for tax evasion. He turned himself to the 120th Precinct and when he was taken to his arraignment, he used a copy of "Ultimate X-Men" to cover his face. Really—video below.

Method Man woke up one morning this past week to discover that his 2008 Lincoln Navigator had been repossessed by the state Department of Taxation. Officials picked up the SUV from the rapper's Staten Island home Wenesday morning at 6 a.m. It wasn't the first time that authorities crossed paths with one of Meth's vehicles. A Lincoln Navigator of his was pulled over in 2007 for an expired tag and police encountered a cloud of marijuana smoke enough "to choke a horse" when Method Man emerged from the descending driver's side window. There is no indication that marijuana was involved with the repossession—the How High star simply forgot to pay over $52,000 in personal income taxes.

When rapper Method Man rolled down his SUV's window at the Battery Tunnel to pay the toll, a cloud of marijuana smoke wafted outside - and landed him in jail, authorities said yesterday.
