St. Patrick's Day is no stranger to melees, and neither is the McDonald's on West 3rd Street. Put the two together and you've got one doozy of a YouTube video. So! Sit back in your desk, put your earphones on and thank your lucky stars you (hopefully) weren't anywhere near this fight on Saturday night. As one woman off camera screams watching a group go at it outside, "I wanna go home!"

Crazy Video: Police And Students Brawl At Manhattan High School
A crazy fight involving students and police at a lower Manhattan high school this week was captured on video—it occurred at the troubled Murry Bergtraum High School, the same high school where students rioted in winter 2010 over a bathroom ban. Among other things, you can see police forcibly restraining students and students cursing at cops in the video below—and just before the two minute mark, you can see one officer (above right) take off and throw a female student's hat, and the student punching the officer in return. Watch the melee below (but we recommend putting down your volume first).
Ray Kelly Thanks Water Cannon-Using Firefighters With Cold Cuts
How does the Police Commissioner show his appreciation for the Staten Island firefighters who used a water cannon to stop a rioting group who were beating up cops? By sending over "cold cuts, side salads and beverages" to Fire Engine Co. 158. Of course, lawyers for the arrested individuals aren't really impressed by the use of the water cannons: D. Andrew Marshall told the Staten Island Advance, "The last time I heard water cannons being used on unarmed citizens was the civil rights movement in the ’60s. That needs to be investigated post haste, starting with who authorized the use of a water cannon on unarmed citizens, kids."
Harlem Shooting Victims Prep To Sue City
Two men who claim they were injured by police during the wild shootout in Harlem in early August have filed notices of claim to sue the city. Devon Riley says he suffered a fractured elbow, and Kirt Liburd says he suffered a laceration to his head, during the chaotic street-clearing shooting, in which 46 bullets were fired by police.
Prison Guards Say Layoffs Could be Lethal
Cuts to the prison system have correction officers concerned, especially in the wake of Saturday night's melee that left four guards injured. To deal with a 5 percent budget reduction in the department, the city correction commissioner wants to slash 477 posts and reassign others. But today on the bridge leading to Rikers Island, representatives for the guards stood in protest next to a coffin, symbolizing the potentially fatal consequences of staff reductions. “Officers are already outnumbered 1 to 50," Patrick Ferraiuolo, president of the Correction Captains’ Association told the Times. "What do they want to make it, 1 to 100?”
Teen Model in Teacher Sex Scandal Blows Top!
A 19-year-old male model flew into a rage yesterday after a Daily News cover story sparked a media frenzy outside the Ozone Park home he shares with his 37-year-old lover, a former teacher who is suing the city for firing her over the affair. WCBS has video of the teen tantrum, which features Hugo Boss model Joshua Walter charging from the house in slippers, clapping his hands and yelling "Leave! Get the f--- outta here! Find someplace else to take pictures."
