If it involves movies or television, Gothamist is interested. And if it's the tiniest bit related to the Oscars, then we're all over it. That's why Gothamist has produced a Golden Globes commentary similar to our Oscar commentary from last year. Yes, awards shows are self-congratulatory and ridiculous, and the Golden Globes are not a reliable predictor of the Oscars (which aren't that great anyway but their usefulness as a marketing tool cannot be denied), but it's just become a part of our DNA to enjoy an evening of watching, wondering, and whining.
Some of the couples they look at are Drew Barrymore and Fabrizio Moretti ("young love"), the new Governor of California and his Kennedy wife ("This is a strained kiss..."), Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith ("...he feels that she is fragile and has to protect her"), and Madonna and Britney Spears ("There's no pleasure there - just faking it for a photo op.").

Aha! Fametracker posted its Fame Audit of Harrison Ford, with unerring timing after our Friday post, Harrison Ford, Gothamist Doesn't Know You Anymore. Gothamist wholeheartedly agrees with the audit, but would like that it's a testament to Ford's skill that he convincingly acts like he really likes Melanie Griffith in Working Girl.
