Rockefeller Center Western-themed tourist trap Johnny Utah's just can't catch a break. Viva El Toro: Williamsburg's New Mechanical Bull Destination

Do not resist, join the team, and step inside the big new double-decker Mexican restaurant-bar-mechanical bull destination that opened earlier this week next to Radegast Hall in Williamsburg. We're not in Kokie's anymore, Toto. Called Viva El Toro, the massive space boasts the only mechanical bull in all of Brooklyn, according to the owner, who is extremely proud of her salsa. (Pictured here.) This is now the ultimate place to load up on Mexican food, pound tequila, ride the bull, lose your lunch, rinse, and repeat. Mechanical Bull Lawsuit #2 for Johnny Utah's

A 30-year-old Queens woman is the second person in as many months to sue Western-themed tourist trap Johnny Utah's, claiming that the midtown bar's mechanical bull caused her serious injuries. How many drunkards have to get vaguely hurt before mechanical bull operators stop trying to throw riders off? more ›

Lawsuit Says Mechanical Bull Too Rough for City Slicker

Local screenwriter Aaron Schnore is suing midtown tourist trap Johnny Utah's after a May 7th ride on the tavern's mechanical bull (pictured) left him with "serious" injuries (beyond his shattered dignity). Lawyers say the operator of the bull should not have allowed an inebriated Schnore on the bull in the first place, and they also accuse him of making the bull buck too hard. Attorney Lawrence Saftler tells the Daily News, "[The operator] pumped it up until he could throw him. That to us is an assault and battery." To others, that's called a mechanical bull. Schnore is seeking an unspecified sum, but no amount of money will change the fact that now the whole world knows he hangs out at Johnny Utah's. more ›
