Yesterday morning, a Chicago-bound American Airlines flight took off from LaGuardia Airport, only to make an emergency landing at JFK Airport after one of its engines (engine #2) failed. Dozens of pieces of metal from the engine fell over a warehouse in College Point, Queens, alarming people in the area who heard a loud noise that wasn't the usual whirring of airplanes in the air.
