But then we realized Conan O'Brien was hosting, so we must watch and liveblog. Hmm, if there was a smackdown between Aaron Sorkin and Tina Fey, who would win? We're partial to saying Tina, because she's been writing and acting in Saturday Night Live - after having a baby! - AND working on her untitled NBC comedy pilot about a sketch comedy show, while Aaron Sorkin has been laying low, only working on his NBC drama pilot about a sketch comedy show. The New Yorker wonders if there's enough......

Gothamist is so excited about the Museum of Modern Art's Christopher Guest tribute. Starting tonight, his films, including the ones he directed and co-wrote (A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman), and The Big Picture), one he co-wrote (This is Spinal Tap), and one he starred in (The Princess Bride), and TV work (SNL skits and more). Gothamist loves us some TV, and we've been there for Friends for a decade (which then makes us realize why some things aren't getting done), but the Friends finale hype has finally broken our souls: We were on the backlash, but now Gothamist has surrendered. We will watch on Thursday to see all loose plots tied up neatly and with some innuendo...we've been watching the past few weeks and seen that the stories are boring......
