In the fastest field in Olympic history, Justin Gatlin beat out four other runners who also had times under 10 seconds, including Maurice Greene. The 22 year-old Gatlin was born in Brooklyn and shows the bravado that all sprinters have. After the race, Gatlin said, "I had been watching people make history like Maurice Greene, Marion Jones. Reports say Marion Jones, possibly the biggest name in track, is also being investigated for use of THG (tetrahydrogestrinone), the designer steroid manufactured by Balco, or the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative.
