The Giants won their first playoff game since their Super Bowl victory and their first home playoff game since 2001 with a 24-2 thrashing of Atlanta on Sunday. The defense had a huge day, keeping the pressure on Matt Ryan and coming up with several huge stops in close yardage situations.

The Giants are having a hard time getting healthy, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Justin Tuck, Kevin Dockery, Aaron Ross and Chris Canty are all expected to miss the game on Sunday. Kenny Phillips has been placed on Injured Reserve, which means his season is over, so the defense will be thin again, especially in the secondary.
Jets and Giants Wrap Up The Draft
After the first day of the NFL Draft, the Jets and Giants wrapped up their drafts yesterday by filling some needs and taking some chances. The Jets added Dwight Lowery a cornerback, Marcus Henry a wide receiver, Nate Garner an offensive tackle and Erik Ainge, the QB from Tennessee and the nephew of Danny Ainge. In many ways, Ainge is similar to Chad Pennington, so it is an interesting pick to say the least.
