By the end of next year, downtown Brooklyn will have a new upscale steakhouse to rival Peter Luger in Williamsburg; it was recently announced that Morton’s will be occupying the ground floor of a new Marriott annex tower on Adams Street. The Chicago-based restaurant chain will dish out their beef, seafood and sandwiches in a 300 seat restaurant near the Brooklyn Bridge. Writing for the Brooklyn Paper, Gersh Kuntzman sees Morton’s arrival as the beginning......

Earlier this year, I Am Legend, the latest Will Smith extravaganza took over the Brooklyn Bridge. Warner Bros. spent around $5,000,000 for a 6 night shoot in New York, after getting approval from 14 government agencies, with hundreds of extras, including 160 members of the National Guard in full combat gear. Last week he explored the life of Bertolt Brecht; tonight, he takes on circus impresario......

We hope that it will inspire you to take some time over the weekend to explore some new food in a new 'hood! While the Marcy Avenue stop on the JMZ line may not be the most popular Subway stop in Williamsburg, you may want to consider it if you are searching for good eats and food......

Gothamist likes these photographs that Bluejake took at Marcy Avenue a lot. Because we tend to disappear beneath the surface for our subways, the outdoor stops always seem more exotic to us (plus, the urine smell gets washed away by the rain). But outdoor stops abound through the five boroughs. And, here, Marcy Avenue seems a little like Chicago. Who knew? NYC Subway on the Marcy Avenue stop. And get ready, photobloggers: Saturday, December......
