Yesterday, Kim Ledger visited his son's apartment on Broome Street. After Heath Ledger had been found dead in a Soho loft last week, mourners have left letters, flowers and other tributes to the 28-year-old actor. The building staff had collected the items and kept them in the basement; the building super told the Post Kim Ledger said the mementos were "beautiful." Kim Ledger, who spent an hour in the apartment, was accompanied by NYPD detectives......

The DC Comic Watchmen is coming to the big screen, and the NYC sets were recently revealed! They aren't tearing apart town or stopping traffic like Cloverfield or I Am Legend, instead they're filming the alternate universe New York, mostly circa 1985, in Vancouver. Director Zack Snyder said:After a couple months of shooting at various locations and on stages, last week we finally made the transition to our New York City backlot. Since the New......

In Los Angeles, LAist most definitely celebrated Thanksgiving like no other. After all, one has to keep up all the energy to keep on walking the line at the Writers Strike and fighting the unfortunate return of the wildfires in Malibu, which single handedly destroyed over fifty homes within the first 24 hours. National outlets may be covering the fires, but CNN also found it is easier to buy a gun than fruit and......

The owners of Soju have decided to rethink their pan-Asian restaurant and transform it into a Asian-inspired den of iniquity called Dragon Lounge - bereft of food, but brimming with cocktails. The opening party......

New Yorkers get bored easily β itβs not a stereotype, just a function of our environment. We are constantly stimulated with new and exciting things β making a trip to the bodega for a $5 pint of milk, an adventure. So as we were sipping on our pomegranate mojito last week β Gothamist felt that familiar pang, oh yes it was boredom, and it left us shaken and a little stirred. Gothamist believes in a......

When The Fresh isn't playing some hip venue in the Silver Lake region (that's LA's answer to Williamsburg), we're betting he's locked up in an artificially dark room somewhere just south of Hollywood Blvd surrounded by keyboards and guitars. A virtual mad scientist of musical standards, the Fresh isn't just a musician, he's a performer. An award winning one at that, just ask the Malibu Film Festival. To learn more about the Fresh check......
