The Christmas tree vendors in New York City are pretty fascinating—so much so that we did an entire series on them years ago. Now they're headed to the big screen, where two French Canadian Christmas tree salesmen who travel to New York to sell trees, will be portrayed by Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti.

Where To Drink Outside Tonight (Or, Screw It, TODAY)
It was ridiculously nice out yesterday, and today has been even sweeter thus far, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s. We've already begged to have class blog outdoors—but alas, we'll just have to wait till the end of the day to take advantage of this spring surprise. Thankfully, there are plenty of bars that will be serving drinks outdoors this evening—and below, we've compiled a list of some we especially like.
Canine Royal Wedding To Take Place In Williamsburg
Yesterday we got a shudder inducing chill after coming to terms with the fact that somewhere in this crazy world... two cats are going to be forced to reenact the Royal Wedding by their human. Well, now we've received a press release stating that two dogs will be partaking in what is being advertised as the "Royal Dog Wedding." They'll be walked down the aisle this Friday in Williamsburg (since, the organizers tell us, Westminster Abbey was booked that day).
Dog Bites Man, Man Sues Bar
A beer deliveryman dropping of Bud Lite to Williamsburg's Lucky Dog is now suing that establishment after allegedly being attacked by a dog there! According to the NY Post, Edward O'Farril claims he was "traumatized" when the Bedford Avenue bar's pet pit bull "viciously attacked him" as he was bringing in some kegs this summer. He told them he was bit on the thigh while he "was just working, minding my business. It was chained up and it got me anyway."
New Restaurants on the Radar: Luckydog, Joseph Leonard, Cello Wine Bar
Luckydog: This isn't a restaurant—it's better: A bar with a nice backyard where you can bring your own food. Co-owned by Bill Mack, the guy behind East Village Tavern, this Bedford Avenue pub conjoins a retro-dive bar heart with a beer-nerd head. The location was previously Lenora's Way, which specialized in craft beers but had a fussy vibe that never caught on. Mack says his aim is for Luckydog to be "a neighborhood bar that happens to have good beer." (Liquor is forthcoming.) Of the 20 beers on tap, the menu spans the spectrum from lesser-known beers like Troegs to 24 oz pours ($4) of Genny Cream Ale, which Mack describes as "the beer we used to steal from our fathers." The interior design evokes a dusty old Brooklyn ale house with plenty of reclaimed wood, including tenement doors skirting the bar with doorknobs still in place, and church pews from a 1920s summer camp in Otisville. The backyard stays open to at least 11 p.m., depending on the noise level, but inside a 1975 shuffleboard table should see action late into the night. 303 Bedford Avenue (between South 2nd and South 1st), Williamsburg
