The Coalition High School For Social Change in East Harlem was put on lockdown yesterday after two suspected gunmen ran into the building. The 16-year-olds were seen running into the school, where they both attend classes, after a 14-year-old boy was shot in the arm outside the Wagner Houses Friday morning. This isn't exactly the goal when people encourage kids to go to school.

Newark Airport Locked Down Last Night
According to CNN, last night at around 5:20 p.m., terminal C at Newark Airport was the scene of a security breach, and went on lockdown "after a man walked through the wrong side of a checkpoint exit." It's unclear who alerted authorities, but the Transportation Security Administration says the man walked from the public to sterile side. Following the incident, authorities reviewed video as they searched for the man — who has still not been located. No flights were allowed to leave from that terminal, and all travelers who had reached the sterile area after going through checkpoints were re-screened.
Madison Avenue Building Lockdown Follow-Up
Yesterday afternoon, employees working at 232 Madison Avenue were told to lock themselves in their offices, because police were searching for an armed man in the building--apparently a doorman had seen a man with a gun enter the building. A suspect was found in a bathroom and taken into custody, but WNBC reports the police didn't immediately find the weapon. Still a witness told WABC, "I think whatever the police did today definitely stopped a situation from being far worse."
NYU Lockdown on the Horizon
