Video of the Day: Night of the Living Text Message
Tomorrow night a version of the below (which was filmed in France) will be taking place in Brooklyn. Paul Notzold, Visual Goodness, and Soren Sorensen took the classic horror flick, Night of the Living Dead, and broke it down into an interactive graphic story with original dialogue provided by...you!

MOVIE: It's certainly not the kind of night for an outdoor movie, so we suggest sitting in the cool a/c and watching the 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead. "Gone is the possibility of mankind’s dominance in this sequel to Night of the Living Dead; the zombies are in control now, with a group of AWOL soldiers and TV producers on the run from the staggering hordes. A deserted shopping mall offers a safe hideout, as well as the setup for Romero’s savage satire on consumer culture." The early screening will be introduced by producer Richard Rubenstein, more info here.

PARTY: Superheroes are all over the big screen this summer, so come celebrate one of the originals. Lynda Carter: A Celebration of the Birth and Life of a Wonderful Woman is a party going on tonight with Shakey and Justin Carter (from Nublu). They invite you to come celebrate the 55th birthday of Wonder Woman! There will be a best Wonder Woman costume contest and "revelers are also invited to bring a record of their favorite wonder woman to play during the evening."

MUSIC: The Upper Crust are playing a proletarian downtown venue tonight! These four young nobleman will Rocque and Roll you with a polished AC/DC-esque sound. Do check them out, seriously. That is them to the right. We don't think we really need say anymore.
Things That Go Bump At Midnight
Even though it may be eight months until Halloween, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some spooky and funny cinema this weekend.
Halloween Horror Movie Month
If, however, you're interested in hitting the theatre before the opening of the stylish Asian horror Three…Extremes, then consider signing up for Loews free Fan Favorites' Horror Classics. Each month, Loews 34th Street re-releases films on Thursday nights at 8:00 PM and this month's theme features Ghostbusters II (Oct. 13th), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Oct. 20th), and The Exorcist (Oct. 27th). While we love Ghostbusters, we’re a bit wary of Frankenstein (seriously, who listed that as their fan favorite?!), but again, its free, and there’s nothing better than scary movies in a dark theatre.
Halloween-ish Movies
(available to rent on DVD via Netflix, no less), most people prefer that sensation of wanting to hide behind their seat in the movie theater at the end of October.
