Between the New York Times barbecue cover story last week and the giveaway pulled pork yesterday in Madison Square Park, it would seem as though New York is going all kinds of rubbed and sauce-slathered crazy (don’t forget to free up the second week of June for the mammoth Big Apple Barbecue). A car driven by either a 16 year old boy or 22 year old man hit a bicyclist on Linden Boulevard near 175th Street in St. Albans Thursday night. The car hit 60 year old bicyclist Frank Simpson around 11:45PM, and then crashed into a telephone pole. The problem is that both claim to be passengers. However, the Post reports, blood on the steering wheel may be able to help the police identify the real driver.

The Daily News has gruesome details about how she was found, with the murderer "brutally raping her, chopping her dark hair and stuffing a tube sock down her throat. Then he wrapped her face in tape and dumped her nude, bound body off a Brooklyn road."
