Lenny Dykstra Pens Column In NY Post, Can't Make Bail

Former Mets star Lenny Dykstra has been a headline in the past few years (allegedly naked interviews, debt and divorce problems) and now, as he faces bankruptcy fraud charges, Dykstra has written a column for the NY Post in a style that can only be described as "Charlie Sheen, #winning era": "I told them, 'If you are trying to kill me, then you better put a bullet in my head because I am not backing down. Torture me all you want, I am stronger than you will ever know.' more ›

Lenny Dykstra Probed For Requesting Naked Rubdown In Job Interview

Former Mets and Phillies star Lenny Dykstra just keeps giving. The eccentric slugger, who filed for bankruptcy in 2009 then sued the bank that loaned him millions, is still accustomed to a certain standard of living, which is why he recently conducted interviews for a new housekeeper. But it is so hard to find good help these days! According to TMZ, one woman who found Dykstra's job posting on Craigslist apparently didn't want it bad enough, because when the outfielder asked for a rubdown and stripped naked, she ran and got the cops. Then she hired high power attorney Mauro Fiore Jr. to handle her case. more ›

Dykstra Files Suit, Says He's A Victim Of Predatory Lending

Former Met Lenny Dykstra has filed a $100 million lawsuit to win back money he claims he lost after a bank tricked him into taking out loans he couldn't afford. The Twizzler lover, car-wash owner, and magazine publisher says an overly friendly loan officer at Washington Mutual convinced him to take out loans that were "untenable" when he was trying to buy former hockey star Wayne Gretsky's $17.2 million California mansion. more ›

Queens Fan Buys Dykstra's '86 Series Ring for $56K

A Mets' World Series ring will be given out in Queens after all this year and instead of costing hundreds of millions in salaries to banged up megastars, one of the old Shea faithful was able to bring it home for a mere $56,000. That's how much one Queens native paid to win an auction for Lenny Dykstra's 1986 World Series ring the outfielder won with the Mets, possibly even beating out Dykstra himself. It was one of 11 auctions of Nails memorabilia that fans got to dip their bids into, closing yesterday and bringing in over $162,000. more ›

Lenny Dykstra Is Totally Doing A Reality Show

Lenny Dykstra Is Totally Doing A Reality Show

Dan Patrick interviewed former Mets outfielder and currently financially challenged Lenny Dykstra; here are some of tidbits: "Dykstra says his magazine The Players Club is going on as strong as ever," "Dykstra said that people came for job interviews just so they could sue him and make some money," and "Dykstra said that he still has the house and the plane. But then Dan asked why was there no furniture in his house when HBO showed up with cameras. 'Just remember dude, everything isn't what it appears,' Dykstra said." Dealbreaker listened to the interview and added these gems, "If I have to live in the street I would," "If I have to eat grass I will" and "I only sleep twice a week. You caught me on my sleep day." Oh, Nails! Plus Dykstra said he's "absolutely" doing a reality show—we pray it's like I'm With Busey, with lots of Twizzlers. more ›

Debt And Divorce For Dykstra

Debt And Divorce For Dykstra

The NY Post reports that former Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra's wife has filed for divorce—which means it's also an opportunity to feature that photograph of Dykstra chomping on Twizzlers from last fall! Dykstra had parlayed his baseball earnings into a variety of investments, including a line of car washes, but recently creditors went after his $18 million (!!) California estate and his Gulfstream III jet (!!). And it was only last fall when Dykstra referred to $140,000 as his "f---ing ashtray money." In the divorce papers, Terri Dykstra claims "irreconcilable differences" for ending their 23-year marriage and a former family employee told the Post, "Divorce? I'm not surprised. Finance was part of it. They've had a sham marriage for several years, and he told me that they hadn't slept in the same bed for three to four years." The couple has two children, 13 and 18. more ›

Lenny Dykstra Settles Accounting Lawsuit

Lenny Dykstra Settles Accounting Lawsuit

The tabloids caught up with former three-time All-Star Lenny Dykstra yesterday after he settled a lawsuit from an accounting firm which claimed Dykstra didn't pay almost $140,000 in accounting fees. Dykstra said the firm "folded like Mitch Williams in the ninth" and added, "There was no case. There was nothing"--all while chomping on Twizzlers. When a reporter brought up allegations that Dykstra bounced a $7,000 check for a private plane flight, the Post reports Dykstra, who put some of the $27 million he got from the Phillies into car washes, said, "That's my f---in' ashtray money, bro. I don't even know if I flew on their plane." then proceeded to show the Post reporter the label of his pinstripe suit, "See that purple label, bro? That's seven large." Keep it classy, Nails! more ›
