The ringleader of a group of Latin King Goonies who are accused of a horrific anti-gay attack last year is suing the city for injuries he suffered in a prison bus crash. Idelfonso Mendez, who is accused of sodomizing two gay men with a mini-baseball bat and plunger handle, claims that he broke his wrist and hurt his back in a Department of Correction bus crash last winter. A cousin of one of the victims told the News they are understandably upset: "He did horrible things, and now he wants to get rich over a little wrist injury. It's an insult to the people he hurt.
