On-air personalities (especially those of the "shock jock" genre) are really raising the bar in crossing the line this month. While there's been some high-profile stupid DJ behavior in the past - Hot 97's Tsunami Song, Opie & Anthony broadcasting a couple having sex at St. Patrick's, DJ Star asking listeners for information where a radio rival's young daughter goes to school so he could ejaculate and pee on her - the last week has been a doozy.

…well not in the literal sense but ask any attendees at the Australian Wine Tasting party Gothamist attended on Wednesday and they will affirm, we should have taken first prize. Wine parties are on the rise. When you add a little friendly competition, lots of wine and nibbles and a dash of creativity it’s amazing how quickly an evening can be spiced up…even a Wednesday. The party Gothamist attended last week was one of the most creative wine events we have been to in while. Everybody had an amazing time (perhaps a direct correlation to the 12 bottles of wine) - so we figured we would “borrow” their idea and share it with you.

Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue's bum; photo by The Sun The Brit Awards, sort of like the UK's answer to the Grammys, but infinitely cooler, were held last week. What overshadowed any awards news was Justin Timberlake's dalliances with the Minogue sisters: a sexy duet with Kylie, then hanging out with Danii post-show. Gotta love the British tabloid, The Sun, for finding out from Justin that he wanted to duet with Kylie because she's sexy and added that on a scale of 1 to 10, Kylie's ass was a "58." Kylie is huge in the UK, and they love tracking her lovelife. In other Brit Awards news, Coldplay won two awards and happens to be the only reason why I'm tuning into the Grammys tonight. Previous Gothamist Grammys coverage. [Jen, post-Grammys]: Justin asked Kylie if he could grab her ass again. Kylie, thankfully, said no. Justin's just trying too hard to be a player.

A PDF of the 2003 Grammy nominees. A few initial thoughts: Alan Jackson for best song, and not Eminem? Blech. I think that it's cool that the Nelly-Kelly Rowland song "Dilemma" was nominated, as well as the really infectious Kylie Minogue song, "Love at First Sight," for best dance song. I know the Boss is favored to win in many categories, but I'd like to see The Dixie Chicks win Album of the Year, if only because of the stand they took with Sony over payments and artistic freedom. Jake will probably be interested to know that They Might Be Giants was not nominated for best children's album.
