Last Night's Action: One Big Mistake

  • Knicks 122 Indiana 113: Mike D’Antoni said recently that Nate Robinson was the spark the Knicks needed and Robinson proved it again Saturday. Nate was huge off the bench with 13 points and six assists while David Lee had 23 points and 17 rebounds. Don’t look now, but the Knicks are tied for the eight seed in the Eastern Conference.

  • It’s been a long wait for Chris Drury. Eleven games into the season, Drury didn’t have any goals. That changed Monday night as Drury found the net twice in the Rangers 4-2 win over the Islanders at the Nassau Coliseum. Drury scored just 56 seconds into the game to give the Rangers the lead, but the Islanders tied things up as time was expiring in the first period on a wrist shot by Kyle Okposo.

The NHL season starts a little earlier than usual for our local teams. The Rangers are opening their season in Prague this weekend with two sold-out games against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Islanders and Devils open up against each other next week. For all three teams, the expectations are very different.
