A 15-year-old boy was beaten and stabbed by a large group of teens in Brooklyn yesterday. According to police, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. yesterday at a playground on Madison Street, in Bushwick, behind PS 299. The victim and some friends were shooting hoops when a group of 10-20 teens came in with sticks and bottles. "They grabbed him and they pulled him down. They started kicking him and beating him with sticks,” one witness told the News, adding that she was terrified by the ordeal. more ›

Sienna Edwards was trying to deliver birthday presents to her boyfriend's cousin's child on Thursday night when 23-year-old Kenya Edmonds (the mother of that child) allegedly attacked her. Edwards was able to call 911, the boy's father Carl Purcell, and her boyfriend as she was being chased: “She sounded really frantic and afraid,” boyfriend Timothy Smith told The Post. “She was saying: ‘They have knives to my neck’...I heard one of the girls say: ‘You’re leaving here in a body bag.’ ” more ›

Two teens were stabbed yesterday during a Staten Island high school knife attack, according to SILive. A third teen, 16-year-old Larry Adeyanju, was arrested and charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon. According to police, Adeyanju was hauled to the dean's office at Curtis High School after the stabbings—where he made a very unsuccessful attempt at hiding the bloody knife. A woman was shot dead by police outside a shelter for mentally ill and drug-addicted homeless women on East 45th Street last night. The unidentified woman was reportedly wielding an ornamental knife, and lunged at two NYPD officers after refusing repeated orders to drop it, police sources tell the Daily News. One woman who lives above the shelter says the trouble began because of an argument between the woman and her girlfriend. "One of the women grabbed a knife," one Betty Saunders tells the tabloid. Kurt Doerbecker was involved in a standoff with police when he refused to exit his parent’s waterfront home in Point Lookout to speak to them. He was shot several times after he advanced on an officer "in a threatening manner" and refused an order to drop the knife. But Doerbecker's family are upset with cops who they say were "overly agressive." “There were 60 cops and one young man. They shot him dead. A disabled teenager wielding a 6-inch knife was shot in the abdomen by police officers last night. Stanley Cherenfant, 19, who has trouble with his right arm because of a childhood stroke, got into a fight with his cousin over a craps game in East Flatbush late last night. Once Cherenfant left to get a weapon, his cousin called 911, claiming Cherenfant was threatening him with a gun. Cops say they identified themselves to Cherenfant and attempted to stop him with pepper spray, but he continued walking towards them and refused to drop the knife. He cornered the 26-year-old on an elevator in his Ocean Parkway apartment this morning around 7:15 a.m. Gozde allegedly stabbed the younger man in his right arm, and then brought the knife to his throat. Police have released photos and surveillance footage of three men accused of stealing cellphones from 16 AT&T and T-Mobile stores. NY1 reports that the trio has been cutting security cords and running away with the phones since December in a crime spree that spans across Manhattan and Queens. According to 1010WINS, the perps have displayed a knife in some incidents and used force, though no injuries have been reported. The three men were last spotted robbing an AT&T store on Broadway in SoHo on Tuesday.
