Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon are Best Friends For Six Months (BFFSMs), so it's no surprise that they have been showing up on each others shows, having a couple laughs together. After Colbert auctioned off his portrait for Donor's Choose charity for $26,000, he announced that Fallon would be matching that amount with his own donation...without asking Fallon first. So last week, Fallon challenged his audience to donate $26,000, and if they did, Colbert would perform Rebecca Black's ubiquitous "Friday" on his program. Of course, he didn't ask Colbert first either. But last night, Colbert donned his best suit, kicked it in the front seat, kicked it in the back seat, and crooned the song with help from The Roots, Fallon, Taylor Hicks and the Knicks City Dancers. The Knicks Win!
The Knicks finally have a team that can win on the court; unfortunately it is their dance team. The Knicks City Dancers bested the Nets Dance Team in the semifinals of the Eastern Conference of the NBA Dance Team Bracket. The victory means the Knicks have found something that they are better at than the Nets for the first time in years. The Knicks City Dancers (KCD) will now compete against the Heat Dancers in a vote to be held on March 27th and 28th.

At least the Knicks don't stink at everything. They may sit at 19-48 with the second-worst record in the NBA, but their dance team has made it to the quarterfinals of the NBA.com Dance Team Bracket. In the spirit of March and all things bracket, the NBA decided to pair off the dance squads and allow fans a voting period for each matchup to determine a winner. Thanks to a first-round bye and a convincing win against the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks have advanced to face their rivals from across the river. What better way to avenge their season-long futility against the Nets than to beat them in an Internet poll asking which team has better dancers? Gothamist can't think of any.
