After over 24 hours of occupying the student center (which started Wednesday night), NYU students part of "Take Back NYU" continue to occupy the Kimmel Center, hoping the administration will meet their demands. The demands begin with "Full legal and disciplinary amnesty for all parties involved in the occupation" and "Full compensation for all employees whose jobs were disrupted during the course of the occupation." and also include "Public release of NYU’s annual operating budget, including a full list of university expenditure," "Disclosure of NYU’s endowment holdings," and "annual scholarships be provided for thirteen Palestinian student." There's also something for non-NYU folks: "The general public have access to Bobst Library."

EVENT: This is pretty...interesting. The Sprinkle Brigade "unveils the future of Urban Beautification. Their upcoming show entitled, 'EQUIPPED' at the Riveria Gallery, focuses on the cutting edge in dog poo decoration." The brigade say the "art form" came about after spending "several years of experience wandering the streets of New York, decorating what most people consider to be the enemy." The opening is tonight and the show runs through the 23rd. Leave the pooper scooper...

READING: Mira Jacob and Alison Hart host yet another of Pete's Reading Series. Tonight they welcome Nell Freudenberger, author of "The Dissident", which focuses on lives in the aftermath of 1970s radicalism.

If you think that laughter is the best medicine, then the volunteers of the New York City Free Clinic have a dose for you. This Thursday, February 23rd, the Clinic is hosting "Stand-up For Healthcare Access," an evening of stand-up comedy and dinner to raise funds for the Clinic. Performing are nine of America's top comics including Colin Quinn, Greg Giraldo (of Comedy Central), and Greg Rogell (The Aristocrats, Half-Baked). The event takes place at the Rosenthal Pavilion at the Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South at 6:30 pm. All funds raised go towards providing free health care for the uninsured of New York City.

- The Politicker reports that the D.A. Pennebaker documentary of the Ferrer campaign hasn't been happening for a while, because the crew wasn't "getting a film that was worth doing, as compared with what you just got off of every TV screen." Damn TV!
