Charles Nagel, Law & Order: Criminal Intent's Kathryn Erbe's #1 superfan/creepy stalker, was given five years probation after claiming he was raped in jail.
Law & Order Star's Stalker Claims He Was Raped In Jail, Gets Probation
Law & Order "Superfan" Found Guilty Of Stalking
It took jurors less than five hours long to find "superfan" Charles Nagel guilty of stalking Law and Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe. He was found guilty of stalking her over the mail and on the internet, but not guilty of interstate stalking. Nagel probably didn't help his case when he spent five hours on the witness stand earlier this week, pontificating over the nature of his love for Erbe, blaming one of his daughters (who are both named after Batman characters) for doctoring a Facebook photo of Erbe's daughter, and sharing his sexual fantasies involving McDonald's cheeseburgers.
L&O Star Stalker's Tale, Erotic Fast Food Fantasies
We thought the whole stalking saga of Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe was an open and shut creepy-dude-on-the-internet-is-obsessed-with-mid-level-TV-actress case. But the testimony yesterday by superfan Charles Nagel has opened our eyes. See, Nagel was "Internet friends" with Erbe via MySpace, and the two had been trading friendly messages. So you can understand how upset he was when he found out that the account was being run by a teenage imposter!
L&O Star's Stalker: "Shower Of Love Will Never Stop Coming"
Opening statements were made in the trial of "misunderstood fan" Charles Nagel, who is accused of stalking Law & Order: Criminal Intent actress Kathryn Erbe in person, online, and in his blogging heart. Prosecutors read damning excerpts from Nagel's blog about Erbe, including some winning one-liners such as, "I want to look in her eyes and make love," "Obsession is only around the corner from love, but it is not a bad thing," "Kathryn is everything and everything is Kathryn," and "She's pretending she's better and the shower of love will never stop coming."
Law & Order: CI Stalker Just Wanted To Add To His Christmas Card List
The man who was accused of stalking Law and Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe earlier this year was charged with interstate stalking by federal prosecutors yesterday. Charles Nagel, 36, of Philadelphia, was arrested on state misdemeanor charges in March after he had accosted the actress on the Law and Order set several times over the past two years. Maybe he was just trying to amuse her?
Law & Order Star Stalked by Singer/Songwriter
A singer/songwriter/stalker who for three years obsessed over Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe, sending letters to her Brooklyn home and showing up on set, has finally been arrested, reports the Post. Charles Nagel, who uses the stage name Chaz Rose to sing "romantic smooth" songs influenced by Michael Jackson and Johnny Mathis, wrote on his MySpace page—which is mostly devoted Criminal Intent and Erbe—that "melody feeds the soul."

Criminal Intent on the Corner
It's our version of the circus coming to town: Law & Order: Criminal Intent filmed near our work this past week. What they would need to do at some undisclosed Midtown location is beyond us, though we were able to find out that the episode will be called (at this point) "Mislabeled" and that it will air on February 22. Gothamist was most interested in the trailers, whose inhabitants' identities were purposefully deceptive. One trailer had a sticker for "Goren" and the other for "Eames."
