The other day we were thinking: Times Square really doesn't get crazy enough, especially on New Year's Eve. It's like a ghost town over there! Not only does President Obama manage to kill Osama bin Laden, he also keeps his promises to 9/11 teens who want to meet Justin Bieber. Payton Wall and Madison Robertson, whose fathers died on September 11, 2001 while working at Cantor Fitzgerald, met the pop star on Thursday during his Macy's appearance. Yesterday afternoon Justin Bieber dropped by Macy's to visit with fans and sell them on his new scent, Someday, but things turned ugly once the pop star decided to divert from his plan. The Biebs took an unplanned trip outside of the Herald Square store to wave to around 500 fans who couldn't get in. (Great idea!) The NYPD had set up barricades, but the fans broke through them once they caught a glimpse of the little guy. When that happened the NYPD ordered him back inside, but one of his own security—47-year-old Moshe Benabou—either ignored the order, or got in the way. Friends Payton Wall and Madison Roberston, both 14 year-olds whose fathers died in the September 11, 2001 attacks, had written letters to the White House and, on Monday, Payton's letter— about "the entire day [of Sept. 11, 2001] and how I pictured it happening, and what it's like to have to live without a father"—happened to be in the batch of 10 random letters the White House staff gave Obama. Today the Daily News reports that a heckler at the Atlantic City show on Saturday night shamed the MaSheen into giving him a refund. While watching the fallen actor incoherently grasp for the audience's attention, Zach Edelman heckled him from 20 rows back (after being denied a refund at the box office). Sheen eventually beckoned him to the stage, handed him a $100 bill, and said, "There's your fucking refund. Now you can get the f--- out of here." more ›
