PETA Chimes In On Junior's Mousecake

Following the Junior's mousecake incident, PETA has sent an urgent open letter to owner Alan Rosen, asking that he only use humane, non-lethal rodent control (like this cute house). Yet there's no word of a letter to Delta after the airline was infiltrated by a furry friend earlier this week!

Junior's Speaks Up About Its Special Mousecake

Yesterday we broke the gag-inducing news that Junior's in Downtown Brooklyn was now adorning their famous cheesecakes with some real life mice, after photos of the vermin brushing up against their desserts appeared on the Brooklynian message board over the weekend.

Mice Love Junior's Cheesecake, Too!

A tipster wrote us just in time for lunch saying to "Check out the specials now in Downtown Brooklyn." Don't mind if we do! However, this was quickly followed by these photos and mention of Junior's new "mouse flavor." While the source specifies the Dekalb location, the poster of the original photo doesn't say which Junior's this little guy was spotted at. However, this recent thread on the Brooklynian message board points to Brooklyn. We called the cheesecake purveyor and were told "this is the first time we're hearing about a rodent problem."

While 850 Viacom employees got laid off this morning, we were taking our first look inside the Red Hook house of the Real World Brooklyn cast! MTV gave big ups to the borough by adding a cast member this season for a total of eight good-looking 18 to 24-year-olds. There isn't one New Yorker in the bunch--but this season features the first transgender (and the token Mormon, Iraq vet and gay dolphin trainer, naturally). If you'd like to meet the cast up close and personal yourself, they'll be joining the producers of the show tomorrow night at The Paley Center for Media.

The Post has it that a prep cook at Junior’s restaurant in Brooklyn is in hot water after a co-worker spotted him stuffing 15 lobster tails down his pants and into bandages around his legs. In recent weeks, Junior’s staff had noticed that the restaurant’s supply of lobster tails had inexplicably dipped. So when 40-year-old Raymundo Flores was observed in a walk-in freezer bulking up his trousers with crustaceans, coworkers called 911.
