Boston 2 Rangers 1: Here’s the situation, the Rangers are five points behind the Bruins with ten games left. They aren’t dead, but they are certainly close to being so. And that’s because they couldn’t beat Boston in a must-win game on Sunday. In their defense, they showed effort in this game, but it wasn’t enough as the Bruins exploited a couple of their defensive lapses and took the game. Now, New York needs to rip off a big winning streak if they hope to have any chance of making the playoffs.
Houston 116 Knicks 112: The Knicks keep trading guys and they keep coming back to haunt them. Jordan Hill had 13 points while Trevor Ariza added 12 and Jared Jeffries played some great defense down the stretch. That allowed the Rockets to overcome a 32-17 deficit after the first quarter and send New York to another loss in a lost season.

Yankees 11, Braves 7: Derek Lowe didn't pitch quite as well for the Braves as he did for the Red Sox in Game 7 of the 2004 American League Championship Series. The Yankees got to him for eight runs in three innings. Andy Pettitte wasn't much better, allowing six runs in 3 2/3. But the bullpen work of Alfredo Aceves and Phil Coke helped the Yankees stop the bleeding and take the rubber game of this three-game series. Johnny Damon had four RBIs, as did Alex Rodriguez, who hit a homer as well.
