Jennifer Lopez is bringing her 2002 big screen rom-com, Maid in Manhattan, back to life as an hour long dramedy series for ABC. The Hollywood Reporter notes that while Chad Hodge, the writer behind the show, says "The show is a different maid in a different Manhattan," the lead will still be a Latina from the Bronx working in a swank Manhattan hotel, just trying to make it in this crazy, mixed-up world. Sounds the same so far! This is the second go-around for turn the movie into a show--the last was in 2004 but didn't get past development stages. This time, it's said that Bronx native J.Lo "has been very involved, providing 'a fountain of ideas.'" [via NYMag]

Yesterday a group of 8 autistic children graduating from P.S. 37 had a treat in store as Jennifer Lopez stood amongst the audience. The school is in Staten Island's Great Kills neighborhood, and the 10 and 11-year-old kids were performing her song and dance routine for "Let's Get Loud." SI Live reports on the singer's cameo.

The class was first introduced to Lopez's music a few months ago when they had to choose a song to dance to at graduation. Teacher Kathy Amati and paraprofessional Rose Mondella showed the students the "Let's Get Loud" video as a suggestion, and the class of eight boys loved it. They wanted to watch it every day and learned all of the lyrics and dance moves from the video.

Last night was the star-studded, couture-clad Costume Institute Gala at the Met; the theme was "superheroes," to accompany the museum's latest Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit. J. Lo commented on her own superhero ensemble, saying, "the only thing I could think of was Wonder Woman with my cuffs."

A do-it-herself cosmetic unprofessional is promising women butts that look like J. Lo's, but is more likely threatening her clients' lives. Earlier this week, NY Post reported an Atlanta woman who concocted her own fly-in fly-out business, charging woman thousands of dollars for what could be an extremely dangerous and disfiguring procedure.

Not too long ago it was reported that Jennifer Lopez was ready to burst as her belly swelled with twins on the way. She had visited a Long Island hospital with husband Marc Anthony and her couture hospital gowns, but it must have been a false alarm, because soon after she was attending Fashion Week events. Initially it was reported she would have a Cesarean birth that was scheduled for Valentine's Day; no word yet on whether she ended up going the natural way, as yesterday the twins finally arrived.
