Isiah Thomas may still be a part of the Knicks organization, but he's been barred from contacting any of the players. The Daily News says the no-contact policy was "part of his reassignment agreement with Knicks president Donnie Walsh."

A day after the NY Post served up a Thanksgiving day front page cover of Knicks president and coach Isiah Thomas as a turkey, the embattled Thomas proclaimed he would stay in his job, saying, "I don't foresee there being any changes this year." Which the Post calls "LOAD OF BULL?" But really, if there's one thing that the Post and Daily News must have been thankful for, it's having such a spectacularly poorly managed...

  • Toronto 9 Rangers 2: New York tried to live up to the Knicks’ example and fought, but they were no match for the Maple Leafs. Toronto further humiliated MSG ownership with a ridiculous win over the Rangers.
  • - Rockets 97, Knicks 90: The state of the Knicks is so sad that their former coach has more wins at Madson Square Garden with his new team than the Knicks' current head coach does. Jeff Van Gundy is 7-1 against the Knicks with four consecutive wins at MSG and Isiah Thomas is 1-5 at home. Yao Ming led all scorers with 26 points and Tracy McGrady added 24. Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 25 points off the bench while Stephon Marbury had a measly three points in less than 20 minutes of play. In unbelievable news, Nate Robinson (5'9") blocked one of Yao's (7'6") shots. Despite pulling out all the stops for the Chinese basketball fans in the area (BD Wong sang the National Anthem), The Garden was not full.

The Knicks may have even topped their two narrow losses to Chicago by allowing seven 3-pointers and 38 points during the final quarter in Toronto. Jalen Rose (who is Isiah Thomas' latest object of desire) led the charge with 24 for the Raps, who are essentially a starless team since trading Vince Carter to the Nets for a collection of role players. Jamal Crawford looked rusty in his second game back from a turf toe (!!) injury, and nobody else seemed able to pick up the slack on offense.

Some clutch jumpers by Kurt Thomas and a banked in three pointer at the buzzer by Jamal Crawford helped the Knicks beat the Houston Rockets and former coach Jeff Van Gundy 93-92 last night in Texas. Crawford finished the night with 19 points and Thomas added an impressive 23 points and 14 rebounds. They both carried the Knicks to their first road win of the season, while Houston has lost four out of their last five games.

Thanks, Charlie, for letting us contribute. We, probably like the others, feel like we barely scratched the surface, so if you ever want to do Favorite Things, 11-20....

It's two games into the Stephon Marbury–as–a–Knick era, and though it might be premature to say, it's looking bleak. Eight points his first game, six points last night (though he did get 10 assists). Even though everyone is talking about how a team can't click immediately, Marbury said, "I would never think that it would happen this bad."
