The Devils jumped out to an early lead off of a John Madden goal, but New York took a 2-1 lead in the third after Petr Prucha scored his ninth goal of the year. Thomas Pock was called for tripping with just under five minutes left and the Devils converted to tie the game.
Last Night's Action: The Rangers Get The Win
Brian's Return
Even two years later it is hard to handle. Brian Leetch is no longer a Ranger and last night he returned to the Garden for the first time wearing an opponents’ sweater and sporting an extra 2 on his back. Unlike Mark Messier and Adam Graves, Leetch’s return was not successful as the Rangers won the contest 5-2.
Rangers Take Round One
For those of you who don’t like hockey, tonight is the perfect opportunity to give it a chance. Since going out is not going to be easy, stay inside and watch the Rangers play Toronto because it should be a great game.
Snowed Over
The Rangers literally couldn’t get out of their own way on Saturday. A collision in warm-ups injured Darius Kasparitis and forced New York to play the game with only five defensemen. Beating Detroit is hard enough at equal strength and the Red Wings bullied their way to a 4-3 victory.
