Governors Island is going Gatsby again! Next weekend (both Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Michael Arenella and the Dreamland Orchestra bring another Jazz Age Dance Party to the island, recreating the Roaring '20s just a ferry ride away from Manhattan. Commissioner of Consumer Affairs Gretchen Dykstra says, "This proposal promotes a lively nightlife without requiring a license to dance, and most importantly, it will improve the quality-of-life in neighborhoods and strengthen enforcement to effectively deal with poorly managed places."
