Jason Segel gave us a new Muppets movie, so the least we can do is point him in the right direction when it comes to finding his favorite sandwiches in NYC. Last night the actor Tweeted: "Now that Muppets is out I can say the things I've been wanting to. Top 5 sandwiches: BLT, grilled cheese, Reuben, tuna melt, PB&J." So, Jason Segel, the next time you come to New York to visit your Muppet friends, here's a little sandwich tour for you. Of course, people who aren't named Jason Segel are also welcome to indulge in these bread-based masterpieces.

Jason Segel Reminds Us Of The More Adult Muppets That Used To Be On SNL
Jason Segel, who has a little movie called The Muppets coming out this week, just talked extensively about his hosting duties on Saturday Night Live, also offering up this cute anecdote to Moviefone—his list of goals that he made when he was a kid had three things on it: to be on Letterman, to work with the Muppets, and to host SNL. He told them, "I did all three last week. In one week! That's not hyperbole, that's an actual list I had."
Videos: Muppets Take Saturday Night Live With Jason Segel
Last night was the Muppets' long-awaited return to sketch comedy—well, at least they got two sketches. They appeared on Saturday Night Live to give a hand to host Jason Segel, who is the human lead in the new, upcoming Muppets movie. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Scooter, and Rowlf sang with Segel in the monologue and Kermit, a seasoned reporter, also showed up on Weekend Update to discuss how pizza is now a vegetable, suggesting maybe now the national anthem should be the Hot Pockets theme.
Video: Kermit the Frog Performs Happy Duet With Half Of Flight of the Conchords
Tonight, Jason Segel—the man entrusted with bringing the Muppets back onto the silver screen—will be the host on Saturday Night Live (check out the promos below). We have a lot of faith in him—after all, this is Nick Andopolis we're talking about, and anyone who can nail Styx's "Lady" is gold in our book. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a Muppets cameo tonight, but until then, we've really been enjoying this clip of Kermit the Frog performing “Life’s a Happy Song”—the opening number from the upcoming Muppets movie—with Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie, the movie's music supervisor (and the song's author). Watch that below:
Jason Segel Says He's Bringing Lots Of Muppets Out From The Archives
Muppets-mania is sweeping the nation! The latest release from the franchise isn't due out until Thanksgiving, but Jason Segel & Co. have the marketing machine all revved up. He recently talked to /Film, and if you don't have time to read three internet pages about the movie right now, here's what we learned:
Video: Is The New Muppets Movie An Amy Adams Rom-Com In Disguise?
We've been looking forward to the Jason Segel-scripted reboot of the Muppets for a few years now (the poster even got us giddy) so you'll understand when you watch the just-released trailer for the Thanksgiving flick why we freaked out for the first :50-odd seconds—where are the Muppets we were promised? Why are we watching a preview for an Amy Adams rom-com called Green With Envy? And then it all made sense:
First Poster For The Muppets Movie Shows Feet, Fans Creeped Out
The Jason Segel-scripted Muppets movie is headed to the big screen, due out this fall, and the first poster has now popped up. What does it tell us? Cinema Blend notes, "Here’s what you should notice. Feet. The Muppets have feet. One thing about Muppets, you can’t really show their feet very often, because if you do you’ll see the Muppeteer... So as a Muppet fan what this poster tells me is that, maybe, showing Muppet feet isn’t going to be such a special thing anymore. I suppose it’s about time Muppet technology took a step forward, and if there’s a next step it probably involves far more Muppet wide shots than we’re used to."
Jason Segel Close to Reviving Muppets Franchise
Actor and bromanticizer Jason Segel might seem like an unlikely candidate to bring the Muppets back to their glory days, but he's been working hard at doing it for some time now. Paste magazine catches up with the actor about getting his Muppets movie off the ground, and he told them, "The script is done. Disney has it and we’re just waiting to hear how they want to proceed. It’s a big decision for them to relaunch a franchise." If all goes smoothly, he promises to bring the crew back to their Great Muppet Caper roots, explaining, "The Muppets have taken a strange turn with these parody movies like The Muppets Do Dickens and all this stuff...so my pitch to Disney was to reintroduce the Muppets, [make] a movie that is a real throwback to those early movies." Segel has already shared screen time with Henson puppeteer's custom-made creatures during Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and last week he was heckled on Jimmy Fallon by Statler and Waldorf.
Comedy Porn at Vanity Fair
Is Vanity Fair running out of cover concepts? The magazine is giving their sultry Tom Ford/Keira Knightley/Scarlett Johansson cover a comedy makeover, replacing Ford with Paul Rudd, and the ladies with Jonah Hill and ex-Freaks and Geeks Seth Rogen and Jason Segel. (Rogen will also be gracing the cover of Playboy in the near future.) Check out video of the shoot, and more photos from inside the issue (which includes Amy Poehler, but not Tina Fey—who is #1 on this list). The mag declares their subjects are "Comedy’s New Legends," but who are they missing?
