James Colliton, who pleaded guilty to statutory rape, is suing American Express for telling the authorities his whereabouts when authorities were looking for him.

  • Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: a pedestrian struck on East 112th St. and 3rd Ave. in Manhattan, shots fired at 132nd St. and Madison Ave. in Manhattan, and a commercial burglary on 4th Ave. and 90th St. in Brooklyn.
  • Page Six lists its top ten scoops of the year. #1 is about Rosie O'Donnell's writer being escorted from The View offices for drawing magic marker mustaches on pictures of Elizabeth Hasselbeck, and rumors that O'Donnell might quit the show.
  • James Colliton, the lawyer who pleaded guilty to having sex with two underage sisters and served 18 months in jail, is suing the 188-year-old law firm Cravath, Swaine, and Moore for $1.45 million he feels the firm owes him after he was fired. Colliton's lawsuit was handwritten on notebook paper.

A former lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, who was accused of leading a double life of upstate family man and Manhattan pervert, pleaded guilty yesterday to statutory rape and patronizing a prostitute. James Colliton spent his weekends at his home in Poughkeepsie, NY with his wife and five children. During the week, he stayed at a residence on 56th St. and Park Ave. where he now admits that he had sex with two teenage sisters over a long period of time. Colliton paid their mother so he could have the young girls at his beck and call, but supposedly had one of the two live with him for a time. The girls' mother pleaded guilty in 2006 to offering her daughters to Colliton in exchange for money, cell phones, and clothes, and received a 90 day sentence for child endangerment.

As if the story about the former white shoe attorney who paid a mother have sex with her underage daughers couldn't get crazier: The younger daughter now claims her mother never pimped her out and that it was all her older sister's doing. The younger girl, who is now 15, feels terrible that her mother was arrested for prostituting her daughters, because she says her older sister actually pushed her into relationship when the older sister tried to extort James Colliton, tax lawyer at Cravath, after becoming pregnant by another man and needed money. The sisters' cousin also claims the older sister's relationship with Colliton began when she was 18, not 15 as she told the police, and the girls' father is trying to get the younger sister to tell the police. The Post has the wild story:

The teen says that when she heard her mom could get 15 years in prison, she wanted to come forward, but her sister stopped her.

Holy white shoe: A tax attorney at Cravath, Swain and Moore is on the run from police who want him in New York to face various charges of paying a mother to have sex with her young teen daughters. James Colliton was caught at Niagara Falls, and the Ontario police were holding him - but somehow, he was released, much to the DA's office's dismay. The girls' mother is being held on $100,000 for promoting prostitution, and it's just heartbreaking to hear that she would make her daughters return to Colliton for sex. One daughter was 15 when her Colliton paid for her, and her sister was 13 when Colliton set his eyes on her last year.
